It could be a character encoding problem.  In Rumpus versions before  
6.1, logs were maintained in Latin-1 (for the most part).  In version  
6.1, UTF-8 is used.  An older Latin-1 character that appears in the  
log can make the entire log unreadable within the Rumpus application.

Just use a text editor to open the log.  You can always open the logs  
folder using the button on the Logs tab of the FTP Settings window.   
If needed, move the log to an archive location, and Rumpus will  
automatically start a new log the next time it needs to write an entry  
into it.
