For issues specific to your license, please send private mail to "support at maxum.com
". But, to answer the question in general...
Rumpus 6.2 will be a free upgrade for anyone that purchased their
Rumpus license in 2008 or 2009. For those that purchased the license
in 2007 or before, an upgrade cost of $99 ($149 for Pro) will apply.
It is never my intention to charge for bug fixes, including the
resolution of security issues. It is, however, impossible to keep
previous versions of the software updated with bug fixes. This does
sometimes lead to the problem where an upgrade is more-or-less
mandatory. I try to minimize this by guaranteeing that all updates
(including both maintenance and feature upgrades) are free for at
least a year (usually quite a bit longer), but it does happen.
As for compliance testing... It's tempting to go on a rant about
automated security scanners and how they check for esoteric,
generalized, cookie-cutter details without understanding what is being
tested or actually addressing real server security issues. But I know
that in practice, sometimes you just need a sign off. IMHO, educating
your organization on proper security standards and practices is the
best way to resolve line items spewed out by a security scanner.

Nigel - I can't find your license in the database. Send your serial
number to "support at maxum.com" and we can discuss your specific
licensing needs and the URL-sanitization issue (assuming that's what
you are referring to).
